Dark, but tells it like it is. I sometimes think that it would be a relief to go to sleep and never wake up because it is so hard to live. So I am impressed with the end -- "Embracing death, / Finally, I can smile again."

... And the last line of the third stanza: you accidentally truncated "they". ^_~
