you weren't kidding! I do like this one, it's very good. How do you come up with these analogies? I wrote a poem off the top of my head in Social Studies for my friend Christina the other day, and this kind of reminds me of that. But these are wonderful! I love the way you write, because one of the things I've noticed is that it's never constant. While it is noticable that it's your work, you change your style with the different type of story. My style is very noticable, because I tend to speak the way I write, and vice versa. But I love your stories, esp because they're short! I could read one-shots forever...thankfully, I don't. lol.

Aw, how bittersweet! I like how you continued the metaphor of the piano and diamond through out the piece. Personally I think the first three stanzas (?) are the best, and the last two lose their power by seeming to preach sort of. But beautiful piece, the beginning really blew me away.
