ch 1,  | abuseI think two things make this story work well. First of all the use of real characters, both unbeaten champions in their sport who became icons. And secondly the realism of the fight, clearly written by someone who knows what it's like to be in the ring and get hit. One wishes there was more of this story at say the beginning or possibly the aftermath. Did the opponents become friends, did Kathy retire or fight on? Who is the narrator and what did he learn from kathy? A sequel would go down well. |
