Reviews For: Le Père des Mensonges
Nobody-n-Particular 2005-06-13 . chapter 1
I must thank you dearly for your lovely review. It was wonderful. I am glad you like the poem(s). I wonder which other ones you read? Anyway this poem is rich with a focus on imagery that lends deeply to its strength, and you also have an excellent use of vocabulary.

P.S. In answer to your question, that man with the golden eyes is meant to be a vague symbol of a tempter, or loss-of-innocence incarnate. The golden eyes is deceiving to symbolize good, but then he disrupts my world by speaking of uncertainties, etc. Something like that was what I was reaching for. And thanks for your question. You analyzed the rest of my poem very well, and I delight in long reviews so don't worry! :)

The Macbeth reference was a good idea, all shakespeare fanatics will have a reason to review! This truly was a joy to read, the length of the lines was intriguing, as it made the poem seem more like a story. The questions ("What, this inferno? What of my pardon?") was a good touch, it draws the reader in, because the poem speaks to them mentally. This has got to be the best poem I have read in a long time. I shall no longer be drawn to the five word length lines with flimsy rhyming patterns!
