Wow. That's about all I can get out right now. This short story is beautifully written; I love how you choose to keep the reader guessing about the woman's prison up until the very end. I could not peel my eyes at all from the computer screen as I was reading this. A small thing I appreciated was the final line: "toward her own bed of roses". That was delightfully clever, and a splendid way to end such a story. Incredible!
