That was amazing. I think this is just... pretty damn close to perfect! Lots of details and descriptions that made me imaging clearly... it was very emotional and sad. :( But in a way that makes you look at your life and appreciate more. I loved how you ended it with a line that people tend to think about. I love stories that are in first person, are emotional, keep you readin, and have a last great line to top it all off. This was... wow! Loved it! Great job!

A very powerful piece. The beginning set the stage well, especially with all the description of the rain. I like how the piece has a hazy kind of grey, mundane flavor to it, like trudging through each day. The accident is artistically alluded to, but it remains ambigious, which really helps the story. Very nice, and I like the repetition at the end.

Very good Keith, I like it. Good job at being simple and just letting simple scenes tell a story. The last line may not have been needed though - I think "the memories followed" was a powerful enough stand-alone line. But overall, very nice.

This i have to say has moved me beyond any other story i have read in a long time. The way you've written it is with emotion and love. I have to say i won't forget it in a hurry.

I never really considered what it would be like for the love of my life if i ever decided to just leave. But now i see that it hurts them and affects them beyond words and it is very hard to deal with, its not fair and totally selfish to do.

My fav line i would have to say is the last, this is the one that really brought me to tears, "You left me without a word, silently slipping away in the dark of the night." So sad.

I love this, its amazing and you did a fantastic job, i'm so proud of you. I love you so much my darling never for get that.
