This is pretty good stuff, but you could do SO much more with this. It's way too abrupt as is, with no real development or anything. If you're looking to do anything with this, I'd give a lot of thought to building up the situation more, making a gradual transition. I want to see what kind of a pirate Amelia really is...other than that, language is solid, and the light-heartedness is well done. I hope you do more with this!
