| Mr. Singh is back 2005-10-13 ch 1, | abuseFact is, the world has always had its messed up parts that you wrote about here. Some older people can try to say its gotten worse, but they really haven't. Low-lives, goofballs, screw offs, and degenerates have existed since the beginning of time, and as you get older, you'll have to deal with them more and more. You probably have parents, as I have, whom have made the best attempts to keep you from that part of the world for as long as possible. But if it didn't happen now, it would happen later. Protection is good, but I think the best way is to be exposed to bad parts of life early and learn early on how to deal with it the right way. You can choose to be offended, or you can choose to just laugh, move on, and if the situation calls for it, do what needs to be done quickly and quietly without hesitation.(such as explaining the situation appropriately to younger children present). You will choose to be offended by many things in the world, but be glad that you're seeing some of these things now, and that you're learning how to deal with them now. You say that you're at least fifteen. No matter what tries to get between you and the real world, you're not gonna be "innocent" much longer, whether you want to or not. The earlier you are exposed to these sorts of people, the easier it is to learn to deal with them or even manipulate them, if you so choose. I've stemmed away from the question, but the final statement is, the world isn't coming to anything. You're just seeing some of the things your parents tried to keep you from seeing. As for the writing, you make a very good point as to the lack of moral fabric in our society, but do keep in mind that its nothing new. |
| tastes like love 2005-09-28 ch 1, | abuseThat stuff irritates me, but it amuses me too. When it happens to me that is...during the day. All I can really say is...NEVER walk through the San Francisco tenderloin alone...ever. Anyways sorry you had such a crappy time of it. |
| Kage Chikara 2005-05-03 ch 1, | abuse*nods* That kind of ** happens alot...my friend Cathy has gotten actual propositions from older men, as well as catcalls. Stuff like that IS offensive and demeaning. So there. |
| Aimee-Louise 2005-05-02 ch 1, | abuseohmy gosh i'm so sorry if that's true! A very good moral type of story. not really a moral, but you know. It's pretty well-written, except for missing puncuation. |
