I like this; you seem like a well educated girl with a good head on her shoulders. You kind of remind me of myself when I was younger, always wanting to speak to issue's but having no one to listen to me because of my age. I was one of those girls in highschool who matched on the Capital Building to demand that the age for voting be lowered to sixteen-becuase those of us who are ready, are listening. I found it fascinating when you discribed the world as "A Christmas Carol" in the three different stages, I had never thought of it with that metaphore and its so true. I really enjoyed this, you should continue to express yourself like this, and through poetry.
