| Lisa Parry 2005-05-04 ch 1, | Quite a political poem given the current issues. At first I was thinking of something like an Iraq situation, but as I read on I thought more of the third world. The poem itself is effective in having a nameless narrator, who understood that their identity lay in numbers. WHat was unsual about the poem was the lack of anger, more a misunderstanding of the way order is in the world and the final point of how the strong prey on the weak gave the reader an important reminder to consider. |
