"Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Wow, a tirade about religion from a girl who can't spell "Contains". Not only is this an insult to those authors that write tasteful sex in their stories, you're making it sound as though sex is the ultimate sin and we should all be damned to hell for reading about and doing such acts. What, do you want the human race to die off because God says lust is bad? You don't have love without lust.
I'll admit I laughed at this, mostly because I'm not afraid to admit that I think the bible is full of contradictions and is in many ways, a load of crap. Consider me defiled, damned, and let God strike me down with one of those funky lightening bolts.
I'm 17, I'm not married, I'm not a virgin, I like to have sex with my wonderful boyfriend, and I like to write about sex in my stories. I'll rot happily in hell for it (If I believed there was life after death.)
It's sex, not murder. If you think the preachings of someone who can't manage to spell "contains" properly is going to change my views on life, you're sadly mistaken.
And move this to some other category where people will acutally care. Because I seriously doubt you'll find many who do if you keep posting this stuff here.
". . .the dangers of reading steamy romance stories. . ." Yeah, right. What are they? Papercuts?
Hallelujiah! Praise the lord! God is great! Keep on truckin'. I don't waste my time on religion.
I'm a frigid bitch. I admit it.
Rants, hate mail, more preachings, and copies of the bible can be sent to this address:
I'm off to pave my way to hell as I write about sex. Fuckin' rights.

It is a rare thing to find something in this world that does not offend at least one person out there. I respect the fact the you have your own views and by no means am I one to try to change them. However, I must vioce my opinion. Human sexuality is NOT a sin. It is not immoral, it is not condemning. Now I myself believe in God and I do believe that the Bible is his word, however, I also believe that the bible was written by men, and men have a strange way of conforming things to their own views. If you believe sexuality is evil, then that's your perogative. However keep in mind, that humans have been built with hormones for a reason. Not only that but porn, in itself, is not all majority of it is, yes, I admit, but not all. I myself write stories with sex, but by no means do I degrade myself by posting vulgar smut. Sex is, and can, be very beautiful. It is all how you express it. If one can capture the pure human joy in joining with another person, that is not a sin at all, but a very huge blessing.

You are, in no way, an you for writing this. It was incredibly brave, and despite the bad reviews, it will probably help more people than you know. Including you for loving Jesus enough to put yourself out there. It means the world.

I thank you for your testimony. I have just started going down the same path, and I didn't know if I could stop. Your testamony has shown me hope. From a sister in Him, Rosie

Wow. You're an idiot.
Reading "steamy romance stories" doesn't get you sent to "Hell" or whatever you're so afraid of. Because you ARE afraid of what'll happen to you if you read those sorts of things, not "purified". And frankly, anyone who lets some fairytale dictate how they feel towards certain things is just sort of a dumbass.
| Rose Marie Wolf 5/7/05 . chapter 1
I only clicked on this story because it had a typo in the title and I wanted to let you know. When I skimmed over the story I was very surprised by what i read. Not offended, surprised.
This is not the proper place, nor the proper way to preach to others about their downfalls. Smutty romance stories are pornography, this is true, but for it to be pointed out with several passages from the bible seems to indicate that you have come here more to save our souls than to post your original workings of fiction.
I do not mean to offend, only posting my opinion on the matter. Thank you.
| HHHHHHH 5/7/05 . chapter 1
I actually read this because there was a really bad typo in the summary, and because it sounded thoroughly cliched. Imagine my delight when I found a soppy, cheaply done leaflet about religion! So why do you do what the Bible says? It's a clever escape. And even if you really, really look into the history of the document, and find nothing to refute its validity, as a human you should question the right of any text to dictate our behavior patterns to us. Anyway, if you stopped diddling yourself because you found ol' Jebus, who am I to 'corrupt' you? All I'm saying is, don't try to spread your genocide-inclined beliefs to others.(P.S. I found Jesus, too. Turns out he was hiding behind a rock.)
