Okay. So I read the reviews for this and wondered if anyone really read this poem. Or perhaps I just got something different out of this then they did. Really, poetry is up for interpretation… but seriously… the reviews you’ve gotten for this are just … UGH.

I didn’t see it as a ‘cry for God’. But that maybe my bitter Clyde-side casting aside all things sacred and stomping the hell out of them. Death is hard to accept. It’s hard to find it fair when someone you love dies. It makes me angry, for one.

“The (name removed because of utter bitterness) giveth and the (name removed because of utter bitterness) taketh away.”

Me: “Well, thanks, dick.”

(Note the sarcasm)

Anyway, if I’ve got this poem completely wrong … then I offer my apologies. I just couldn’t stand it that your reviews turned into …. I can’t even say it!

I'm sorry about your brother, really. but just because he died doesn't mean God isn't there and doesn't listen...

i'm sorry for your loss, but Jesus does want you to know he's listening, and he loves you, even if you dont love him.

don't really know what to say, since obviously I don't really know you, and never knew your brother. but I had similar feelings when my brother died, not that it makes any sort of difference to you right now. Just know I'm there

I'm sorry for your loss. Since you wrote this, what I'm about to say probably won't mean much, but in my experience the people who call on God and tell me to have faith in horrible situations are just trying to help. Their faith keeps them going, and they try to pass it on. But you've read my little speal on religion; we both know that it doesn't work that way. And some people are real ** when they present their faith as something that everyone had to adhere to. I try to give them the benefit of the doubt, but they make it so hard sometimes.

Again, my condolences.
