This is gorgeous! I'm a rabid tree-hugger so I'm totally agreeing with you. I especially like the stanza about "And what do human eyes behold..." Lovely imagery and I like the rhyming. )

I enjoyed this a lot, shame about the sad ending but the build up towards captured their good spirit in a mood of lightness. The alternating verse strucutres brought the message more cleaarly to the forefront. The beauty of nature was captured brilliantly :)
