Luna Lapella 2005-06-09 . chapter 2
Hm...

It definitely has potential. You can write well, let me tell you. Meticulous English with no obvious mistakes and nice description, too.

Chapters need to be a little longer. These two chapters are only around 600 words total. I think each chapter should be at least 10 words, hopefully more. Think of it like a chapter in a book. You don't see many one-page chapters, do you?

At the beginning, you want to hook readers. There's not much going on. Just her cousin's brief background and some beach descriptions. Maybe you could start the plot, or at least hint of it. If this is fantasy, you really want to show the element in the beginning.

Well, that's just helpful advice for the background stuff. You don't need any help with writing itself. You're good enough at it already. :-)
