Love the torn wings image, and the last two lines really ram the idea of the poem home.

The whole poem has a certain air about it. Torn wings, crying children. The last two lines really make the poem. At first it sort of keeps us guessing, whats going on, bu the end makes up for that and explains rather nicely. Great work. Keep writting.
