this was beautiful and so bittersweet. everything did wrap up so neatly in the end (which makes for a great story, if not great believability. but hey, its a story about magic and flying animals and elves. i love that. so no complaining from me.)

in all truthfulness im not an avid reader of femslash and probably wouldnt have started reading this if i realised it was in the first few chapters. but i was completely hooked by the time i found out.

anyway. im not making much sense right now - so. i liked your story. it was beautiful. thank you for sharing.

This is a very good story. I love it. I haven't read much fantasy femslash, because, well really, there aren't many on this site. Any that can find anyway. I love the twist you put in here with Rease, it was just great.

Though, I was wondering if you wouldn't mind if I put your story in my C2 for Slash Fantasy? It's for both M/M parings and F/F parings, and I would love to put your story in there, along with your other story 'Dreams Unpursued'. If you don't want your stories in the C2, just let me know, and I'll take them out.

Oh, this was wonderful! Hate that I had to wait so long to read it though...my computer died for a while. Very thrilling and beautiful. I might just read it through again sometime.

Question, though. Certainly that last actual chapter could have served as an ending -- if not to the entire story, at least one volume.Is there more planned, or is that it?

It was ... satisfying ... to see Bowen end up with Kiap. They belonged together on various levels. Seeing Blaze die, however, was depressing. He was my favorite character, and I actually thought the heroine would end up with him as her love interest, at first (chalk it up to confused reader syndrome). I didn't realize that she was fully lesbian until the ice witch came right out and said it. After thinking about it, I realize that I considered her to at least be bisexual since she found the incident in the alleyway to be so arousing.

This story was a good one on various levels but I think the most satisfying part of it had to do with the method you use to develop not only the characters themselves but their relationships with each other, their interactions. Quality of action is as inherent to solid story-telling as dynamic characters and strong plot twists (two other things you demonstrate well).

I find it ironic that some of the better, obviously well-written stories don't get the level of attention you think they would on this site.

Very steamy chapter. The dialogue between Rease and Jahellen is beautifully crafted. Absolutely gorgeous.

hm... is she being deceptive again or is this for real? But then not all actions are as it should be. gaining trust to escape...that sort of thing...

Your chapters never fail to captivate me completely. I love this, as always.
