I really like the characterization and the highlighting of the changes they're going through in this chapter. I love how you showed Adrienne doing the angry mother bear impression.
In reading this, I really like your portrayal of Adrienne as the 14 yo and the mother at the same time. I don't know how true she rings to actual teen mothers, but I like it, lol.
And I can definitely sympathize with feeling like you're the last the see your baby: during my delivery, my mom stole my glasses and forgot to give them back while she and everyone cooed over my newborn. I was almost as ** as Adrienne.

Okay, you have this huge long author's note explaining inconsistencies and such. One thing though, they can't determine a baby's gender at three months, the time period Johnny claims to have "accidentally" discovered it. Just thought I'd point that out.
Btw, your story is addictive. :)
