I always enjoy stories that are about the characters rather than some vague goal. I found Bindi wonderfully human, and I liked how you let her pity herself only to realize that she should be developing her relationships rather than watching as they corrode. You wrote Bindi's stream of consciousness very well.

I also think you did a great job of describing the setting without ticking off a list of adjectives. I had a vivid picture of the beach. Just a great story over all.
