abuseJust one mistake:"and Jeremiah is the youngest [with a handicap]"By this time, you had already astablished very well and with emphasis that Jerimiah had a handicap. Repeating it here is therefore redundant and sounds really bad when read.

Man, I really just want to say thank you. Thanks for giving me something besides The Man in the Iron Coat to gush over. I mean, your other works were okay too. . . but they really weren't what you are capable of, and as a writer one should always strive to perform consistently at the height of one's ability.

I truely love the format, even with the divergence to Samantha's letter in the resolution. Have you ever read The Screwtape Letters, by C.S. Lewis? Fantastic example of this kind of writing, though from a darker POV, and with a far darker theme.

Also, I liked how Janie put all the letters in the tree. It makes me imagine that this story came to light when some random passer-by happened to come upon them all in the tree and read them.

It's very good the way Janie repeats, over and over and in almost the same words each time, her love for her father. There are very, very few phaises in the english language that can be repeated indefinitely without growing stale, and this is one of the top two (with "You're beautiful" being the second).

Thanks so much for the awesome story. Keep up this kind of good work.
