Dave 2005-10-14 . chapter 1 Cameron Crowe may have had you at "hello" in Jerry McGuire, Avonlea had me with the first line, "I am the Angle of Death."
Such a twisted idea, that of being the angel of death, an idea explored by the likes of Neil Gaiman to Ingmar Bergman... only this time It's not a hot chick nor someone playing chess. Instead we have an average guy who died in an average way, taking a not-so-average job that tells the tale of the end of this mortal coil.
The film noir juxtaposition of an angel of death, seeming like a wisecracking James Cagney at times, matching wits with pair of Heavenly angels who lead our ... hero(?) to his next encounter. Showing that none of us ever die a heroic death, its always undignified and ordinary.
Lots of fun, i hope this continues in a series... |
