Just browsing different authors.. I may disagree with which shows suck and which do not, but that hardly matters. For once someone else is against the entire "media rules my life" routine that many tend to fall into. Honestly, who cares which person is sleeping with who on whatever soap opera is on at the given hour? I cannot stand the "Television idiots" out there. Anyway, I am getting off topic.. your essay is awesome. You have good writing and present your points smoothly. I enjoyed this very much.

Ever heard of Fox news? Bear in mind, I cam up with two sources with different biases. That way, you see the same news and make your own spin of it?

hey, this isn't fair. you're patronizing us for letting the television "tell us what to think", but then you go advise us all to watch CNN. Is there a station that force feeds political propaganda down our throats as much as CNN does? Jeez. If you somehow think CNN is a fair representation of everyone's views, you're sorely, sorely mistaken.

more of a rant than an essay :/

especially concerning the long list; it would've been better to use colons and ommas than take up half your page. the "homans" didn't help the tone of this essay either - it's more something i would expect to see on anyone other than simon's livejournal (he's canadian, and subsequentially, has beautiful english skills.)

sorry, i'm critical.

yes, lovely message and all, if a bit overused. However, it was delivered outside of the 'box' so to speak. kudos?

anywho, keep writing^^

I too wonder what is wrong with people. What is up with the celebrity obssession? Most of the celebs that people keep up with are shallow, empty, and boring.

Bravo! I agree completely.

On another note, I DO spend a lot of time on my computer. Though that is only because the rest of my family is. All our computers are in the same (rather large) room. That's our thing. But I see where you're coming from.
