beautiful... such a sad ending

I loved the opening paragraph and your description of the sunshine's struggle to break through...it really captures that image and is great metaphor for this poem. Another stand out line for me was "I held to your father's cashmere waist." something truly beautiful with that description.

Nice ending! Unexpected I have to say. A lovely piece, quite thought provoking after I'd finished reading it. It's sad, yet with traces of happiness intertwined through it. Nicely written - an enjoyable read.
