I am terribly sorry for your loss, i guess people die and people live, there isnt much more to say about it. Good people are lost every day, whether it be to drunk/stoned drivers, illness, whatever it may be... so be strong and keep up your mood and stuff cause being sad isnt fun!

Yea, this is really sad. It sucks how bad life can be, how tottally messed up. Innocent people get things they dont deserve. And it effects everything and everyone around them. It's kind of funny cause i was talking to some other people about this kind of thing earlier. I'm so sorry to hear about what happened, and I hope it's not to rough on you or anyother of your friends.

Wow I am so sorry for your loss. This is one of the hardest things for anyone to go through. I pray for the families and friends of Mike and I hope your pain is eased. You did a nice job of writing a peiece that will hopefully be a warning to other people not to be as stupid as Mike's friend. Bravo on your speaking out and sharing.

Oh... sososososo sad. *pauses while thinking of what to say next* Well, start with the actual writing. V/good, very... sad, the way it's sort of matter-of-fact but still very evocative... made me almost cry, ohh it so sad. And the actual event... it seems so form-letter-ish to just say 'I hope you feel better soon/get over this soon/etc' but I'm not sure of what else to say, but that I've never been through something quite like this before and therefore can't understand how you must feel... but you have my deepest sympathies and my heart cries in sorrow for Mike, that things like this happen always seems so unjust. I'm really truly sorry to hear this, and wish for you to feel better asap, and I really mean this.

Oh, this is so sad... ;_; Unfortunately that story isn't unfamiliar. My class has lost at least seven students throughout the years, and the most recent one was in a drunk driving accident (not his fault, and he died).

It seems cruel to make any CC, but given the nature of Fictionpress I feel inclined to do so. Just a couple little things... Limp eyes? Usually people think of limbs being limp. "Mike was about to say something else when he felt like he was flying. The car had hit another one and it flipped over." Hit another what? You never said what 'one' was in the first place-a car, a tree?

Then when you were talking about Mike's friend and switched to Mike, the identity of 'him' gets mixed up.

That's all... sorry, but overall very moving story.

Wow.. that is really sad and it is true. even if you had not written taht it was a true story I think wed have figured so much. Life is strange. People dont realise how they can hurt others till it is too late. I think this is a really good piece and it really drives it home! Well done

Aww that's so sad. I have known two people be in car crash. One was brother, who was okay but his firend (not the driver) died and one was a 17yr old girl who worked at my fathers workplace, in that case the driver was uninjured and she died.

that is so heartbreakingly sad.

a little girl of 12 died around here in febuary, from a drunk driver hitting her who was 19.

lives are so precious and taken so quickly.

Oh God. I am so sorry, Sweetie. Life really screws us over sometimes. I hope that although you won't ever be the same without a loved one that you can go on.

OH! This is horrible, moves me to tears. I, I know not what to say. I want to say I am sorry, I want to say it will be alright... But situations like these differ from person to person. I still cry from my losses even if they occurred 16 years ago... When is time relevant to death? I just want to say that I understand your pain. Be strong.

This was a very touching story. I was surprised to learn at the end that it was true, and I'm sorry for that.. I know that loosing a friend or family member can be tough.. It was still a great work, though.
