I wouldn't say this scared me, but it certainly is gripping and makes you want to find out what happens. Which is the point, really. If you can get the reader to read to the end, you've done good.

Some very good descriptions, especially the description of London in the winter. It's pretty nasty. What's the most exciting is horizontal rain when you're crossing bridges. M nice.
