Lol. I understand the feeling all too perfectly, and I honestly think it's not something you should be ashamed of. I used to have stage fright, and well, still have it occasionally. I put myself in a rush with large doses of caffeine before going onstage. That helps. But anyway, I like this poem! You captured the feeling perfectly and you gave me a good laugh! Keep it up!

Well, I thought it was pretty funny. The lines "My heart leaps out/And commits suicide" were hilarious, and I loved the ostrich metaphor, particularly in these lines: "- I’m an astoundingly good ostrich -/I’ll be blissfully sick with hives." LOL.

I get nervous over public speaking, too - my insides start crawling with caterpillars and whatnot. Anyway, this reminded me of my friend, who once did her whole oral report in a British accent.

well I liked this and don't worry lol I can stand up and preform all sorts of stuff for anyone and not have one problem but when it comes to reading something I wrote I freck and can't do it! heck my rents have only ever read like 2 of my poems EVER haha o well.. anyways its good I like it and yes it is funny
