My friend has no memories from the time he was 3 until he was 8, and he was taken away from that stepfather. He's sure he blanked out the memories because they were just too much to take. The crazy thing is that things like alcoholism; they just keep going, keep hurting, not only the one who is addicted, but everyone who loves him or is effected in any way by him. It creates not one victim-but many. Very sad indeed.

I work in a Nursing Home- and I work with more than fifty people daily, and I love them all. It's tragic how devalued the elderly are. How people see wrinkles, and think, "ugly". That is the saddest thing. That they won't delve deeper, won't see these people as individuals. Some are paradigms of wisdom, some of wit, some are so sick they barely retain the traces of who they once were, but they're all still worthwhile. And the very fact of their age should garner them some measure of respect and admiration. They have lived long-loved much- given much. Thank you for writing this with such gentleness.
hoowdoideletethisaccount 2006-01-07 ch 1,	abuseThis is a remarkably-written piece. And I love the tenderness you infuse into this. You love people, don't you? I can tell. What I don't really get, is the descriptions of this young man as though he were a deity of some sort. "He fell from heaven to walk an earth unprepared for him; he was an unheard preacher, an unseen messiah." Why is he like a messiah? I agree that everyone has a soul of immesurable worth. I agree that everyone, EVERYone, has good things they have been blessed with; good things to share with others, things that maybe could change the world, or even, at least, one or two other people's worlds. We have the "power of life or death" in our tongues, and we can choose to build or tear down. There is a certain sort of salvation in love, certainly. Is that what you meant? I'm just musing through this. :) Kurt Cobain was a tragedy. Every time I see a picture of his beautiful daughter, I wish he was still around to see her.
s m e l l . o f . r a i n 2005-08-04 ch 2,	abuse(Faded Rose) Lovely story. I kinda prefered this one to the first. Maybe it's just me, but it doesn't seem as confusing as the first... But in any case, I like this lil' story- it dips into the life of someone intriguing and fascinating, and let's use, the reader, look into her mind. I love the way you wield imagery in this piece, and use it to compare the past with the present. The rose reference also kind of reminds me of Cloud Burst's poem 'After Special'. This is a beautiful story. ^^

I absolutely love this, I think I've read it about 7 times now, I particularly like the pawning of the halo, such a wonderful image. And I know this isn't really about Kurt as it's original and not fan fiction but Kurt is the only image I get when reading this, I think Jurt is/was the ragged angel.So now I've rambled enough, I just want to say how much I admire this and your talents, you're truly awesome!
