Absolutely wonderful mix of fantasy, supernatural, mystery/crime and good storytelling!

Hmm, reminds me of Archie Goodwin - from Rex Stout's Nero Wolf, my favourite crime books - good humour, interesting plot, interesting characters, nicely flowing style and good pacing. Keeps me hooked. You've got talent!

Just some interesting nugget of info for you, the Chinese have been known to marry the dead and the breathing. Or at least rituals like these still exists in Singapore.

I loved these! Sable was so funny and Chris was so real!
I loved the idea and thought it was very well writen. The cases weren't boring like a lot of the mystery books I have read.
The characters were all so well developed. And the writing in general was wonderful! Good job!

Amazing story. I started out looking for a regular old detective story, I'd been hoping for something with a slash twist, but didn't have my hopes high. Then, I saw your story and figured, "hey, I like paranormal stuff, why not?" I love it, I really do. I think it was really cool to arrange the chapters like you did. I also really liked how each chapter was wrapped up nicely. Chris/Sable are great, but I think I like Doug/Zach better but just by a bit! but only because of the nature of their relationship. It was a great read all around and has gotten me in the mood to read more paranormal mysteries!

Ok, so I'm going to come right out and say that I never review anything but I really liked this. I love the friendship between Doug and Chris, especially Doug being fired multiple times for being a smartass. I really like how shameless Sable is too. Anyway, this was a lot of fun to read! Right...well BYE.

I wish you would add on to this story It's really really good and I don't even mind how much you jump around with it, even though it makes it slightly harder to follow.

I just realized! I've re-read this series so many times, both here, on your LJ, and your website and never once noticed the lack of Asenath aka Alain and this Third Candidate Grey's back story! Is there any chance of it being filled out in the future?
