Whoah. I'm not sure how you managed to craft such a singularly insightful piece out of the idea of missing the garbage truck, but this is a valuable little poem... because it makes people think. Man, is there a better goal than that, in our writing?? Nice job, man. Especially the closing few verses.

the "off-key warble of a bird insulting the dawn" - there is something about that line that wants me to know this "morning" you describe more, get inside your head...I like this
