One thing I forgot to mention the first time I read this (before you posted it) was ... what was the reason that he was spotted and shot at? That little mystery wasn't solved in this installment. Will it be resolved in some later story of this strain?

I will say again how I love the effect you give for this character. This character is so powerful, so caring for these people he watches over, yet, it seems a lonely life for him.

The loneliness is penatrating.

It is brilliant how throughout all the action and heroism and such, while he's trying to save these people, which is his focus, that with all of that, the overall sympathy I leave with is for him.
