I know that casting in the surf requires strength, fishing from a boat is a matter of good bait, timing and luck, but you speak of finesse more like a metaphore, fishing as art, among other interpretations.As for the " In the Stream," it was not a serious complaint, though I think the complaint can also be an art form, well, if a person has a sense of humor at least. I was merely commenting that this format is ridiculously fast, instant even and massive, like playing in a storm tossed surf filled with huge logs. dc

I have to say that I've never been much of a fisherwoman- I caught quite a few crabs by accident off the coast of Nag's Head last summer, that's all- but I found this peice to be wholly remarkable. Probably your best one yet. This style of writing suits you more than I thought it would; stick to what you know, and expand on it. I love it.
