| DarkBlysse 2007-06-05 ch 1, | abuseRaven! I scared my English class once, by reciting "The Raven" by Poe in its entirety from memory. Teehee. "And the raven, never flitting, still is sitting, still is sitting On the pallid bust of Pallas just above my chamber door; And his eyes have all the seeming of a demon's that is dreaming, And the lamp-light o'er him streaming throws his shadow on the floor; And my soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor Shall be lifted, nevermore!" RAVEN! CAW!! CAW!! What? O.o...? Okay, okay--I'll review it now. "Why? We see a curse in beauty. Danger in simplicity, poison in rare wines" --I think this part would work better if you made "poison in rare..." its own line, instead of coupling it with the other phrases. I love the "Danger in simplicity" part, BTW--it's just beautiful. "So still, so soft, we fear a thing we call amazing." --I love these lines, too. It's just so soft, yet strong at the same time. |
