leigh 2005-07-07 . chapter 1 What about this story? A daughter wakes up and tells her father that she hears something outside. He goes and checks it out but finds nothing. A few minutes later, he hears scratching noises at the backdoor and so he goes and gets his shotgun. He yells a warning to anybody that might be out there that he is armed, but he sees and hears no one. Figuring that his daughter has him freaked out, he returns to bed. The next day, he notices scratches around his door handle. (I can't recall how the story exactly went, but it was in Larry Elder's 10 Things You Can't Say in America)
A seven-year-old should know not to mess in her parents stuff and the parents should keep at least keep the ammo locked up. I believe that you are told to never keep your gun loaded and to lock it separately (the store I shoot my bow often teaches gun control in the next lane over).
If you talk about crime rates and criminal behavior, consider that the law-breaking criminal would not care about breaking a few more laws by using a gun.

You did do a good job with a sympathetic hook and I am curious to see what points you’ll use for your rant. I hope you won’t mind me possibly trying to debate you later on. |
