On the off chance that you're actually serious, allow me to add another group--the worst of all--to your essay: people like you, who for some reason believe they are superior to the world. Sure, I dislike the whole "gangsta" ethos, and I can't stand goths. But that doesn't mean I'm this anal about it.

Plus right now I'm at a College so I'm drowning in liberalism. Thank God there are still a few realists on this site.
Olivia 2005-07-15 ch 1, anon.	abuseI mostly agree with you, but you must realize two things: First of all, these are kids, and kids will do anything to be accepted. They are also very impressionable, and I doubt that many actually BELIEVE their group's "philosophy". They say they believe, but really they're all just trying to find out who they really are. I went through phases of punk, goth, and prep to become the person that I am today. Most kids grow out of their groups. Secondly, you are acting just as childish and immature as most of the people you describe. By refusing to listen to different oppinions, you automatically assume you're right. This is an oppinion piece, and oppinions are rarely "right" or "wrong". You complain about "ignorant" reviews as if you had actually exposed facts in this essay. You'll probably do the same to my review and just say I'm an ignorant moron (or something) because I said some things you don't like. Hopefully you'll realize that this attitude won't get you very far in the real world.
fugiguru 2005-07-11 ch 1, anon.	abusei have never met any of the people you rail on against in your post. you use archetypes. and archetypes, in all honesty, generally do not exist in the real world. people are not one dimensional, despite their wishes to be seen as such.i understand your frustration, but i think you are more upset with specific "molds" that one is told exist, rather than with the people themselves. why is it that you believe, apparently, that only girls are affected by having sex with multiple partners? are males somehow "stronger" or something? plenty of women have satisfying sex lives with more than one person, and escape all of the doom and gloom that you foresee. and i see nothing wrong with john deere hats. the more i think about it, who are YOU to decide what clothes and makeup a girl can and cannot wear without being given a nasty label? nitpick: "you're" = "you are", not "your" = "you are". especially prevalent in your "punk" paragraph.
