Reviews For: The Arizona Kid
Khali Draegan 2006-02-18 . chapter 3
I dont usually read westerns, but I was raised to believe the closest thing to God on this earth was John Wayne and your story just happened to catch my eye. I must say it's off to a good start. I'm really lookin' forward to what happens next. I've been raised in the country, and westerns are like home for me. Since I live in Texoma, I might be able to relate better if it's about to be set in Texas. Can't wait to read more.

i love the dialogue- it gives you a whole different feel for the story, like you're right there listening to them. keep up the good work and I'm excited to read more!

Ah, well. I can relate to how it feels to be lacking a few reviewers now and then.

Just one point I'd like to mention. It's the part where he finds out that his parents have been killed. Good opurtunity for a lot of angst- and by reading my story you'll have probably realized that I like angst. 'He had cried until he had no more tears to cry' Good line, but to make the reader really /feel/ the pain, you could try delving into his head a little.

Why...?They were his parents, how could they...?What was he supposed to do now...?

Sorry if I'm being a little nagging, but it's just a suggestion. Don't hate me!

On another point, when are you going to carry on with Fynncara?!?

Wow, I started reading the forst chapter again and was thinking, wow, this sounds familiar...Aw, too bad Kit hads to buy 'old west' coffee, lol. No Starbucks back then, huh? Shame, shame...It's pretty neat that you know what your talking about (guns, horses, etc.) I know very little about guns and I've started planning out a Western of my own. Eek! Ahh, but I DID know that a colt was a gun I'm so proud of me! Lol. "I'm Kit Tavis, you killed my Ma and Pa..." "I am your Pa," Sorry, couldn't resist, mate. Awsome chapter, it's still very intruiging! What will happen next, I wonder? Hm...Oh, and thanks for reviewing 'Bloodland.' Gosh that story is SO old! I stopped writing it ages ago, but someday I'll continue again. If you wanna read any better stuff, you can check out my stories on fanfiction.net. The ones here are crappy, lol. Update soon! Johnny Depp rocks! Oh, and have you seen Silverado? Modesty

Wow! I'm not usually one for Western stories, I tend to find them a bit much for my liking. But, this is one of the first that I've read that had me hook from the first few lines! Good work!

Interesting start you've got here. :) Kit seems like a cool character, and I'm anxious to read more about him. I like the erm 'shot to doll rags' or whatever that was- it was kinda an awkward visiual (lol) but it was interesting. Also, the dialogue seems appropriate, and the story is well written. I'll be waiting for an update! ;) Oh, and I was reading your bio and saw that you (like me) are obsessed with King Arthur. I have a fanfic on Fanfiction.net for King Arthur that's called 'The Heart of the Hawk'. It'd be cool if you'd check it out, lol. Modesty
