I'm not sure I can agree with that statement. There is always a reason for every emotion you have, whether it is hormones or events. I agree that blindly following the rules is a bad thing; however, I would say that it is just as bad to never pay attention to reason and instead be a slave to your emotions.

You obeyed dozens of rules when you wrote this essay. You spelled words correctly, you used spacing and capitalization to full effect, you observed the traditional grammar for the most part and stuck to conventional meanings for words.

Emotions made you write this essay; rules ensured we understood it.

"Everything is spelled right but it just fits together unevenly with a period every month"
