Scraper 2005-09-10 . chapter 5Hey, you finally rose back from the dead! Nice chapter I love the reference to the Salem Witch Trials (God, I hate purists!)
Loch ness... Here comes the crossover I guess?
And who's the blond vampire hunter? |
Scraper 2005-07-24 . chapter 4Hee hee... I like the way Tremere doubts the readiness of the relationships, but knows in his heart that he really wants Antediluvian. I find that attractive in a man...
Antediluvian's name sounds familiar by the way, but I cant seem to put a finger on it... Sabbatah just reminds me of "Sabbath" but thats pretty much it.
I find it funny how well Tepes planned all of it. Pretty hilarious with the ring if you tell me. But I rather found it disappointing with the immunity against sunlight. That's my second most loved feature of the vampire: disintigrating into ash when hit by the sun. It's next only to blood sucking itself. But I dont mind... It's really your story and we all have our own ideas what types of vampires we want in our stories.
Oh yes, I forgot in to mention in my preceding reviews that I like the comment on Antediluvian's beauty not diminishing because of her height. And the green dress thing too. I've always complained about the white! I want it to be either blue or crimson. Red is one of my favorite colors thats why I have loads of red shirts!
But I dont know, I feel vampires are above tiresome human rites but hey, atleast their still enjoying immortality! |
Scraper 2005-07-22 . chapter 3Hm... Not bad, but it suddenly changed pace... Antediluvian and Talbot seemed to just pop out of nowhere! And again, those modern terms are distracting. Right now I don't know what era they are even in!
I'll wait for the next xhapter to come out. Liked Oorlock by the way! |
Scraper 2005-07-22 . chapter 1Oh... LOVED this! I particularly loved the whole "How to Make a Vampire" part!
About those demon rapes, sounds like an incubus doesnt it? And "Tepes" Really cool, but rather out of place. Tepes quite literally means "Impaler" hence the infamous Vlad "Dracula" Tepes. Tepes means "Son of the Dragon" (and since the Dragon is also the biblical representation of the Devil, It is also translated into "Son of the Devil")
But this thing sounds rather out of place: "and other things that went bump in the night would gather at the castle for one night of jubilee. Tremere was not fond of the event, though he did his best to conceal that from Tepes. Because of his lineage Tepes was idolized by most vampires, since being the son of Satan was as bad as bad could get." --It did not match up to the overall use of language in this story...
"hey though that talking about mutilations was sexy." -- So did this part. You shouldnt use witty modern phrases, coupled with old gothic imagery. It sounds bizarre...
I'll read the rest tomorrow! Sounds really good! (I am a vampire fiend so pardon!) By the way, have you seen my vampire stories? I have two, the first one being finished (The Evening Slain) and the second (Birth of the Hunt) is a prequel that still in progress. I'm making a series out of it but I've been SO loaded with homework lately that I cant seem to find time to finish it! I think it's obvious where I got the name "Nyxhelm" |
