There's a Jeremy Camp song called "Take You Back." But I thought of that only after I read this poem. During I thought of Peter, sinking without faith...the prodigal coming home...myself.

I read this (at this very moment) in a part of my life when I was hiding from God. Not running, not anymore, I know better...but hiding, that's a different story. Just like Adam and Eve, hiding from the loving God who knew right where to find them. This poem made me cry as well, and let me just say that you've touched me with it. Thank you for writing, keep it up. You have a way to show God's glory and love and mercy through your words. God bless.

I am glad I found this in your poetry. It shows that all Christians do sin but God will always take us back. The line "I deserved a wake-up smack" really brought a smile to my face. What a simple but true way to put it. Keep writing, I look forward to reading more.
