I completely understand this, as I am a hopeless Insomniac...down here in my basement i sit and stare at the screen, and sometimes i think the light above my head is the sun, and i get scared of being burned...so, yeah...there's a totally random piece of trivia about my life...great poem...

i really love this poem, as in the word choice and line structure you do capture the hypnotic and almost ironically soporific nature of insomnia. it contains a bit of what's typically known as "dark humor," which i've found to be very typical in your work, and actually have grown quite fond of. keep writing, luv, you've got at least one fan out there.

It's almost like a lullaby, kiddo. A kinda creepy and depressing lullaby, but a lullaby none the less!!Nice... repition (sp). The ocasional rhyme sort of ... molds the poem into a funky shape. Like a Picaso.

I can't say it made me happy, but the best poems rarely do. Ah! I LOVED it. It reminds me of that week that I Just COULD NOT get to sleep. Sprry for cap-letters. ^_^

I saw the title and being an insomniac and awake really late/early, I decided to read it. You're the first person to capture the chaos in the mind of an insomniac so perfectly, at least from all I have read about it. Thank you for making my mind a little easier for pople to understand.
