just a whimsy 2005-08-03 . chapter 1 You can genuinely mean it when you say you love a person, but that doesn't mean it isn't delusion. What you say in the now may always be retracted later. Besides, there is no worldwide consensus on what 'true' love is. There are varying degrees, and it is up to you to pick which one. And you may realize that what you thought was serious wasn't, but that's what living and learning is all about.
And honestly, there is a certain fear to love. It's the fear of losing, the fear of that huge feeling that encompasses all, a nervous fear of not being/looking good enough; a wondrous fear that you should never lose. Oh true, you should be reassured every time by the one you love who loves you back.
It's kinda like performing arts. If you lose that bit of nervousness before a show, you have lost your will and want to perform for people. Just the way it is.

Formerly 2005-08-01 . chapter 1And... exactly what do you know about "true love?" I'm older than you, and I certainly wouldn't say I do. |

TheCrazyChickWithTheBlondeHair 2005-08-01 . chapter 1There is only one thing to fear in life, and that is love.
You may have a point, but that doesn't make it any less...frightening. To get hurt and then try to bypass it for someone else with something real, isn't easy.
This is very nice though. You have my attention. |
ThatGirlInBlack 2005-08-01 . chapter 1Wonderfully written, I understand what you mean. It is very sad but the end is hopeful. |
Raex486 2005-08-01 . chapter 1You've said it all in a way that's true for me and for so many others. I'm a guy, myself, but i understand where you're coming from. Truth is, I've wasted time for fear myself. It wasn't until I built up my courage to try that I found myself truly happy. Good work! |
