Wow. This piece is intense. The setting and the characters are all so very vivid. You should add another chapter. I also think that you could add a little more backstory, some information on the characters and such, but that is just me. Keep up the good work.

Got here from the Sensory Overload ficathon, and wanted to tell you that this story was just... fantastic. The imagery feels so calm and peaceful, despite what's happening and how sad the words make me.

Hello! Stopping by to let you know that I liked your fic. Very well written. Very good language. Although I think the unfolding of the actual story details could be a little smoother(things like finding out that the narrator is the son of the man, and brother of the guy about to be killed). Right now that aspect of the story is its weakest point. Still very good, though :)

Wow! That was fantastic. Through the eyes of this narrator, you learn so much about his father. The description almost paints a picture, and I could definitely imagine the scene. Beautiful writing.
