Feather snowballs! Love it! Ahh, and the annual Christmas...brawl? It was great to see Ranse finally. He seems the most like Layne/Cali so far. Not sure if that's the way it is, but from this chapter that was how it looked.

The end was perfect, with everything starting all over again. I laughed out loud at West with the iodine on his forehead. Great family!

The End? THE END?! Holy cow! Not fair! But man, do I love Ranse :D I thought I would never get to see his character in writing. This is great! Imagine my shock when it was him and not West -- that's what you were going for I'm sure. But really... I love his character. He totally fits in. I still wonder why it was he was gone for so long. You probably told me once upon a time, but I don't remember :( There's a lot of details to these guys and that's one detail I can't remember, lol. I usually forget about his character until he's mentioned. Anyway, I LOVED this chapter. I wish I had been able to read it yesterday, but I'm still so glad that I got the alert and was able to read it anyway, lol.

So sad to see it finished, but I know it's a very accomplished feeling so I'm excited and proud for you too! :D

This was so funny. And I could almost hear the good old sound of the crackling record player belting out Christmas songs. Wow, I'm old, but hey, that's just the way Christmas music sounds best!

West cracks me up - we're not even Jewish! and Rock, trying to maintain control over all these guys over food fights and pointless arguments and crackers...

Excellent story, you're a master of taking me into the middle of things and making me see it all around me. Hey, my brain is back, I once again posess vocabulary! Great job, keep it up!

Aw! What a way to end the story! I really am loving this. Rock is too cool. And West... He's just West and that's all I have to say on that front, lol. I love that guy. He's a killer. Are we ever going to see Ranse? You told me the answer to that question once, but I don't remember. I think it's no, but one can hope it's not. Anyway, I absolutely love these characters. They are too cool. They're tough, and then they're soft. I love it.

I'm so glad I finally got around to reading this chapter. It was really good. I like seeing the whole Christmas thing going on. I'd love to write a Christmas scene, but knowing me it'd turn out to be crap or something, so I've never attempted it. Anyway, I really enjoyed this. It's shown a different side to these characters than we've seen before. Rock is so cheery, lol. It's great. And West... That boy *Shakes head*. I'm curious about what it is he got Layne though. Should be interesting.

Oh yeah, and seeing your "funny papers" comment reminded me of something. The other day I was babysitting those kids and there was this little kid-art show on, with animated artists that were pencils and erasers and paint brushes, etc... Anyway, they had a "guest" artist on, and he said, "See you in the funny papers" and it made me think of you. That wasn't the best story... but I thought it was kinda fun...

Hey there, Liz here! Finally registered so I can get emails about your stuff. Until now I've been checking your profile page at least once a week.

This was great, I love seeing the whole family (almost) together, and Christmas makes the best background for great stuff to happen. It's funny that Rock loves Christmas so much. West was, well, West. He kind of makes me think of a combination of Brad and Trev. Maybe that's just me. He's a great character. Nice job, looking forward to more!
