Alkali.Alias 2/1/06 . chapter 1I was browsing through things on fictionpress, saying to myself "just one more" before going to do homework. This is probably the first time I'm glad I procrastinated, because this story was simply adorable. That's the perfect word for it: adorable. Another would be quirky - I love it when guys are quirky, it gives something other than the whole 'macho man' complex to think about. Anyway, I actually am going to go do homework now, but thanks for writing this and brightening my day! |
my dangerous angel baby 1/27/06 . chapter 1I love it! I smiled through the whole thing it was so cute/romantical. Great job! |
squiggle-line 1/10/06 . chapter 1Okay, I'll admit it. I'm one of your "ghost readers." I love this piece. Once, when I was having a bad day, my first thought was to re-read this to cheer myself up. (Sad, I know.) I really like how you talk about him trying to get free cable on her television and then mention later that it was cut off. The two references help connect the piece together and shows us that the girl and the guy have a history (of "leeching cable") together. Plus, his request to watch her tv is just plain adorable. D "...which she was later informed that they were acquired by him sticking his arm through the machine...""...but she could count on him during inclement weather""...inane conversation about sheep and syphilis again" There really are too many good lines in this piece to mention them all... I really like how you explain the title "Sly dog" in the story. I also really like that you mention how he leaves her door open throughout the entire piece and that you tie it in to the ending. |
Plinky 12/9/05 . chapter 1I love him. He's adorable. absolutely adorable. They are both so quirky, and you write romance so well! Somehow you managed to condense a whole story, history, character, style, everything into 2053 words if I remember correctly (I like to know these things. Let me check. Oh, 2035. Close. I'm such a loser! -) Lovely beginning. I love how you start with his point of view, and sneakily twist around to hers through the story, so it's her point of view at the end. *Sigh* i want one. I've just realised they didn't even have names! Haha - if I was analysing this for english there would be so many things i could make of that. I'm not going to bore you though. Hehe. Beautiful. Seriously, a really really lovely piece of writing. I'm off to read more of your stuff. - Keep writing! |

mousedahouse 8/22/05 . chapter 1What a cute story! It was a unique pair of characters, nothing stereotypical about them- which is a major relief in the world of fictionpress with all the characters having the exact same personality. I would have loved for the story to continue a bit longer, but I think it was appropriate to end it there- giving the audience a chance to imagine what could come from that relationship. Run-on sentences were present, very bearable and understandable. There should be more guys like the "sly dog" in the world. I mean, there already are a lot of guys who like to take advantage of other's material objects and whatnot, but finding a romantic guy like him are VERY scarce (at least in my opinion). Ah well, I loved the fluff, which you wrote extremely well and think you should continue to incorporate into your present and future stories. |
