Okay, I rarely do this - especially explaining my work to readers but since you genuinely asked I will answer: I wanted to go a different way than most poems I see about being "oppressed". I went with the "love thy enemy" route instead with this one; like loving the TPTB or the authorities. Sure they hold us back from our true potential through all facets of society, but they are there for a reason - to overcome, like a test from the universe. We attracted it/created it with our mind patterns and now were here to ABOLISH it. That's the underlying meaning of the last line. The authorities are too aspects of God - like shadows. Hope that answers your question.

I really like this except the last line. Not sure I understand that line in conjuction with the rest of the poem. Please explain.
