Excellent perspective of the american landings at Omaha. I'm personally a history buff, and I noticed one thing. I'm going to sound like a know it all for this, but I thought it might help:

Patton's Third Army was an invention of Allied generals to fool German reconnacinse and Nazi spies into believing the Allies had a much larger army than they actually did.

I really liked it. Good job at bring the emotions alive. It was also a great hostory review. You wrote beautifully, keep it up!
