It's hard to say what's going on. I'm unsure of the connection between the lord and the woman - I'm not sure if she works for him (or is enslaved by him) or if she is a curse upon him. And as for what she gave him, I think it's something that keeps him going/keeps him alive. And I wonder what 'other way' the woman is going to leave by.

In general, this was an intriguing opening, very well written, and I hope to see more of this.

I get the feeling that they Obsidian Tower may be large, and yet very much empty. I don't really see anything wrong with it, and it has the sort of description I can't seem to find and incorporate into my own pieces...very good, I like it, and I hope to see more!

It is hard to say what's going on, because it is a beginning. It seems like the Lord has enslaved some kind of demon woman, or else she was given to him. She isn't too pleased with serving him, but she does seem to keep the tongue under control.
