God made everyone unique.

Emo kids, they are what made high school grand. I figure when you have a store dedicated to yourself *cough HOT TOPIC cough* then you have become pretty mainstream. I really liked your verse.

Very interesting, again. You pick such pertinent topics. I do have to say though--there's definitely some ways in that we're original. God has a totally unique plan for each life, and no one else thinks exactly the way your mind does or responds exactly the way you do, etc. As far as clothing/music/etc trends to be "nonconformist", I agree that obviously these are not original. Again-interesting. Your poems prompt thought. I appreciate that.

*claps* i like it!

A bold, if not entirely uplifting assertion. I think it's sad that I do agree with this and have for a while - it's a bitter irony at the moment that it's much 'cooler' to not conform, and so everyone rebels and speaks audacious and non-conformist thoughts. There's something very twisted about that. I guess man was just never meant to be original.

Clearly, the solution is that we shun man and society! :)

Your poem's written quite powerfully; even with a hint of scathing. 'signature hairstyles' is a nice, direct stab at popular culture today, and that to listen to various music you might dress accordingly. But I also like the way you branch out onto bigger ideas as the poem progresses; it's important, I feel.
