wow! i love that play and i love the imagery in this poem!

yet, every midsummer’s nightis spent dreaming-i was thinking Shakespeare before i even read the note.

that last stanza, and the whole thing is amazing.

we just wish we had fairies. for our excuses.

I wish that we had faeries to inferfere. Its truly a wonderous poem, though. Truly amazing.

This is definately the best shakespeare-inspired poem I've read on fictionpress. Midsummer night's dream is one of my favorites, and i love the fact that you can use it's characters to sort through your own life. good job,

Sadly, I haven't read A Midsummer Night's Dream. Regardless of not having that knowledge, this poem is gorgeous! Though, I think that I'll disregard the last sentence of your author's note, as I do believe in the fae. Anyway, this poem is quite lovely!
