Wow. Nice job with tone and message. It really frustrates me that things STILL aren't back to normal (or as close to normal as they can get) in NO. (I watch a lot of Anderson Cooper on CNN, and he covers it almost every night...those poor people, living with nothing. I don't know what the gov't is thinking.) Keep writing! :)

well written to tell an important story, lack of humanity, and making people aware... sad, but nicely done.

It enraged me that so many people were being raped in the aftermath of Katrina. Thank you for that poem. I'm glad someone else shares my anger towards the looters and rapists taking advantage of this tragedy.

It is wonderful when a writer uses their power and skill to make people aware, to let others feel the people's suffering. Let all our thoughts and prayers be to those who were affected by the hurricane. Keep writing.

It makes me ill too, so that makes two of us!!At least you are able to write well about what happened and therefor you are helping to point out where we should draw the line ourselves, saying this is not right.
