Ariel of Wonderland 2007-07-14 . chapter 1Nice job here. Well written, interesting, and the last lines made me smile. Good job, love. Keep it up. |
Leyman 2005-10-05 . chapter 2@Moonjava Yes here is definitely a good space to exchange ideas, and musings so dear to oneself. I care for the fact that you were amazed that folks on here care about you. For the record I am not against or above getting reviews. I am not that detached from this forum. But keep the faith, perhaps there are some that are.
@KrugmanI took you up on your offer, I checked some of the feedback given you. It struck me as the kind of feedback I expect to be given to a forum-web personality really. With all the “how dare you's,” and “what world does he/she live in”... “if i met you in real life id do this and that,” kind of remarks. Therefore the very remarks, and comments people are waiting to write and read though they may not admit it. I did not particularly find the review you gave me below, but your “last suicide note” poetry is a typical catalyst for the remarks. I found that it actually did receive some genuinely positive feedback from peps. |
Formerly 2005-09-11 . chapter 2So you think I said "most reviewers are imbeciles" because they don't say what I want to hear? I guess that's true, but not the way you meant it.
If you bother to check the reviews of my work, you'll find that the majority basically can be summarized as "I like it" or "I don't like it." Here is the best review I've had in a while:
"This is a bad essay. Maybe this sort of disorganized, piecemeal interactive arguing-type writing is what fictionpress and the reviews are for, but that doesn't change the fact that the disconnected, seemingly random thoughts don't make it very easy for the reader. There are religious forums precisely for the arguments that you expected people would bring up after reading your 'essay'."
That's more what I want to hear. |

Moonjava 2005-09-09 . chapter 2So may people only seem to come on this web site for reviews. It's kind of sad. I'm glade though to see that you've been able to move beyond that. I first came on this web site because there was so much stress in my life, and I found it a great way to exchange ideas with people.I am amazed to all ways know and see that people care about me here and my ideas.Really interesting reflection. I liked it in a strange way. |
Leyman 2005-09-08 . chapter 1"I came here to get reviews, and I found that most reviewers are imbeciles"
When someone says this, does this mean they care what people think?
So far I have mainly appreciated the reviews that I have got.Sometimes I get the impression that most reviewers that do review do sound tired. That is until more is said about Bush or abortion, or Same sex marriage or...
I guess it depends on what you are talking about, and how you say it. To some, some reviews are better than none, to others if you aint gonna say what they want to hear then... |
Formerly 2005-09-05 . chapter 1Hey. Me, I came here to get reviews, and I found that most reviewers are imbeciles. These days I just hang around to make fun of the idiots, and once in a while catch the latest Mr. Flames or Raptor. I do still write, once in a while, but not too often lately. I have to start that up again. |
Destron 2005-09-04 . chapter 1That pretty much sums up my opinion if fictionpress. Nice. |
Xeronia 2005-09-03 . chapter 1Sounds like a nice reflection. Not many people do this (by themselves), and I think you've done a nice job! |
