Lines To Time 2005-09-05 . chapter 1Wow I completely don't get it. And I have the feeling it's not hard to get, too. 0_o Your writing in this one is brilliant as ever, and in fact I was glad that you had a little less imagery than usual, because sometimes it seems like you're trying to cram in every pretty phrase of which you can think-- and that makes for a lovely poem and lovely words, but it's very hard to follow. My favorites of yours ("Candles in the Cathedral," "Rome," "Goodbye, Mr. X," etc.) are the ones which didn't do that, in which I can discern a meaning. And I can't quite get the meaning here, but that's because I'm an idiot and this poem was wonderful. *applause* *head-scratching* |
